I fell in love with them the first day that I met them, and my heart broke. They were wonderful, happy, well-cared-for cats until one day they found themselves scared and depressed, in an unfamiliar setting at a shelter, sharing space with many other cats. Death, especially an untimely death, can be cruel and devastating for those the deceased leaves behind.

Two-year-old Bob, an all-black, athletic, handsome boy, is very vocal and tons of fun. Although he never had his own home, he loves people because they fed and cared for him when he was on his own. He gets overwhelmed by so many roommates, but quite likes being spoiled with shelter life.

We often receive Facebook messages about an animal that has been abandoned or being mistreated. The writer wants us to send someone to help that poor cat or dog. However, as much as we would like to do so, the S.P.A. is not capable of getting involved directly with these types of situations, heartbreaking though they are.

Zeke, Pammy, and Buffy are siblings and Darcy is their friend. Beautiful puppies, they are each about four months old. Zeke is the only boy in the group and tries to take charge.

I learned the other day that most female cats are left-pawed, and most male cats are right-pawed. And sure enough, I watched as Annabelle and Piper, two female kittens, played spin the ball with their left paws, while Bob mostly used his right paw

Pets of the Month (August)

Sisters Nuni and Jazmin, about 4-1/2 years old, are medium/large, sweet dogs. Nuni is the “brave” one, unafraid of strangers, likes attention and happy to go for a walk on the street.
