“Without fear of being wrong, at Los Milagros we have the best view of the city”

There is no doubt that two of the things that captivate visitors in our city are the views and the landscapes that San Miguel de Allende offers. Los Milagros restaurant is located at Salida a Querétaro, just a few steps from the Mirador, and its unique detail is precisely the majestic view of the city it provides.

Among the culinary delights they offer is the molcajete, which has become a favorite of diners. There is a compelling reason why this is so popular, and restaurant manager Gabriel Hernández explains the process for preparing the molcajete. The dish is heated over a direct fire and then served immediately. The ingredients are a mix of meat or seafood, accompanied by vegetables. It could be chicken, jerky, flank steak, or shrimp, and the accompanying vegetables could be roasted nopales, güero chili peppers, panela cheese, onion, and refried beans, all topped with a green sauce. And how about complementing it with a mezcal or something else? The bar has a variety of alcoholic drinks and cocktails, among which margaritas and mezcalitas stand out. But they also have great beverages without alcohol such as pineapple drinks (piñadas) or lemonade (limonada).

“Sometimes customers spend hours here with us because the ambience is low key, but above all, the sunsets that can be seen from here are unbeatable,” says Gabriel, who receives customers as soon as they arrive and continues to have direct contact with them as well as the staff.

Another plus the restaurant offers is an elevator and ramps that replace the steps that would be there. In addition, there is an exclusive parking lot for people with disabilities. “Los Milagros is a family restaurant; we want all our customers to feel at home and that is why we have placed changing tables for babies, for example, in addition to providing spaces for people with disabilities,” said Gabriel. He also told us that Salvador Orozco has made an effort to create the pleasant atmosphere that characterizes the restaurant. This Los Milagros branch has been very well received by the locals, especially by those who are already familiar with the parent company located on Calle Relox 17, which has been in San Miguel for more than 16 years.
