On Friday mornings I get up early to go for a run at approximately 6 in the morning in Parque Juárez. I then run through the lavaderos, el chorro, and finally to the mirador where I warm up and take in the day fully. I go to have breakfast at the Café de Santos on Cuna de Allende at about 8 in the morning. I have a coffee and juice there and then for breakfast I like to have some eggs or chilaquiles so I can get to work with something in my belly. I have been scanning many old books with a lot of old history from here in San Miguel de Allende. Another of my tasks is to visit people and interview them to acquire information. Then we might hold events with them in the future, or simply learn more about the culture and tradition of this beautiful city. When I get off work I like to relax with a beer at the Kraken Republic on Ancha de San Antonio.
For lunch I like to go to La Pirámide in the community of Cerritos where you can find quesadillas or gorditas with corn, or with chicharrón or some other stew. In Atotonilco there are some streams, almost at the entrance to the farmhouse; These are some of the best places to relax; or if not there, then at La Huerta. We have a house in Cerritos and a pond with ducks. I take care of the sheep, cows, horses and donkeys. At night I enjoy being in the field watching the stars. I also like to read old books that have been collected by people from many generations in the city. Other beautiful communities are Comonfort and Jalpa with a dam where you can paddle on weekends and you can listen to the stories of the city. This is how my perfect day ends.
