Guanajuato and Covid-19

Guanajuato is now the fifth state with the most confirmed cases of COVID-19, after the state secretary of health gave the news that the state is in orange in relation to the COVID traffic light.

 

To this day, there are 22,080 confirmed cases in the state of Guanajuato, a figure that places it among the 5 states with the highest cases of Coronavirus, only below Mexico City, the State of Mexico, Tabasco and Veracruz.

 

Having its epicenter in the state capital, León with 10 thousand 316 confirmed cases followed by the municipality of Celaya with one thousand 906 cases, the state of Guanajuato presents an exponential growth at the beginning of the new normal life.

 

The Secretary of State for Health, Daniel Alberto Díaz Martínez called on citizens not to lower their guard before the change in color at the epidemiological traffic light, “the goal of eradicating infections is still far from being achieved,” he added.

 

The mayor of San Miguel de Allende, Luis Alberto Villareal communicated in his social networks the meeting with the Secretary of Health of Guanajuato and the Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development (SDES), and, the 46 municipalities of the state, this with reasons to analyze the new health protocols for the reactivation of the economy.

 

According to the State Secretariat of Health, Guanajuato presents cases confirmed by community transmission, the 46 municipalities present cases with this type of transmission.

 

The most common symptoms for the detection of Sars-Cov-2 (COVID-19) ARE; headache, cough symptoms, fever, muscle pain, and joint pain.

 

The population that represents the greatest number of vulnerability is the one between 50-59 years of age.
