Samuel García, senator from the “Movimiento Ciudadano” party, has seen himself in controversy on social networks for an Instagram video in which the young official appears saying his wife to tilt up her web camera, because she was showing her legs.

 

The official’s action was harshly criticized in social networks, in addition and the video went viral, with the hashtag #YoEnseñoLoQueQuiera, (I show what I want to show) stating Samuel’s comment as an example of machism.

 

In the video, the wife, Mariana Rodríguez, accepts by García’s instructions, provoking criticism and rejection from the public.

 

For his part, the deputy of “Movimiento Ciudadano” Jorge Álvarez Máynez wrote about it on Twitter “A good amount of attacks and expressions of violence against women have been hidden in humor “… it is time to understand it, take it seriously and rectify.”

 

After several hours as trending topic of Twitter, Senator García accepted the criticism and said he recognized his mistake “sexist jokes are a bad habit that many men have and that we have to remove,” he sentenced.

 

However, the senator’s statements will continue to give something to talk about on social networks and will be a hard blow to the image for the official who is seeking the candidacy for the governor of Nuevo León position, where he is from.
