If you like nature, here is the place for you to spend a perfect day. Recently a friend invited me to lunch at Sal y Canto, a place where you can drink either gin or wine, and eat lamb or shellfish. The restaurant is in Valle de los Senderos, on the road to Dolores.

 

It also happens to be in front of La Playa, a place where you can reserve a cabin, and enjoy the sand and the lake. There are also canoes available to explore one end of the lake. Can you put one in the water? Sure. Also, on the other side, is the children’s area. But the experience starts at the entrance to el Valle because at the end of the road you are surrounded by vineyards. There are also other places with endemic plants, and between small ups and downs, the magic appears. You could spend an entire day here, with sun, water, bicycles and canoes. But if there’s room and energy for a drink and dinner, and it happens to be Thursday, you need to visit The Restaurant, on Sollano 16. That’s their Burger night and if you ask me, I’ll tell you to get La Mafiosa burger. The drink? Whatever you want.
