World Festival, Italy

World Festival, Italy

On July 14, the Culture and Traditions of San Miguel de Allende department will start another Festival of the World. This time, the guest country is Italy. The inauguration of the festival will take place at the Municipal Palace with a formal welcome ceremony to the Italian Embassy by the mayor. This will be followed by a photography exhibit titled “Italy World Heritage.”

There will be more, as we will have another exhibition by Milo Manara, titled “Journey to Tulum.” Another interesting feature is the highlighting of a film that Federico Fellinni shot in Mexico, but was never presented because he died before being able to do so. Milo Minara, however, did the screenplay and it will be shown.

On Tuesday, July 15, there will be a film series in tribute to Federico Fellini with the screening of the film “La Strada ” which he directed. On Wednesday, July 16 will be the screening of another Fellini film, “E la Nave Va.”

On Friday June 18 at 7 pm at the Santa Ana Theater there will be a presentation of the film “L’ Inferno “based on the writing of Dante Alighieri, accompanied by live music with Vincenzo Danise at the piano.

On Saturday, the 19th, Ricardo Cannelli will deliver a keynote lecture titled “Italy and Mexico: A History of Cultural Relations.” To complete this event, there will be a closing concert with Vincenzo Danise Concert and local musicians.
