The community cultural center, El Sindicato, will offer the theatrical opera “Fireflies do not Fly” as part of its 25th anniversary celebration. The performance will be free of charge and all the health protocols established by the municipal government will be observed.
The performance will take place on Sat., Oct. 17, at 12 p.m. in the Sindicato auditorium. Due to the pandemic El Sindicato will only be able to fill 30% of its capacity, so in order to avoid crowds, it is necessary to reserve a seat in advance. The use of facemasks is mandatory inside the premises.
To reserve a seat, it is necessary to call 415 126 6713. The number of reserved seats will determine if there will be one or two showings.
El Sindicato’s auditorium allows for the public to keep a “safe distance” as it has non-fixed seats that, depending on the capacity, can be accommodated in the space.
“Fireflies do not Fly” will be the first theatrical opera to be performed after the cessation of activities due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Within the opera actors will also wear facemasks, promoting the use of sanitation measures within the auditorium. Their masks will be transparent in order to show facial expressions.
Since 1995, El Sindicato has provided cultural, educational, recreational, sports, and social activities for the San Miguel community.
For its 25th anniversary, El Sindicato will offer events for the general community which will be published on its official Facebook page, El Sindicato. Community Cultural Center.
