San Miguel de Allende participates in the inauguration of the first virtual market for tourists

As a proposal to reactivate the economy and tourism in the municipality of San Miguel de Allende due to the global pandemic, the first Tianguis Virtual Tourism Digital Mexico 2020 was presented last week in which the municipality participated.

 

The virtual platform had the participation of hotel chains and independent hotels, airlines and the participation of tourism from the 32 states of the republic, who were offered to Tour Operators, Wholesalers, Travel Agents and Tourist Associations, incentive houses and organizers of events and congresses.

 

It was the first time that the forum was held virtually due to the global pandemic of Sars-CoV-2, the platform will be complemented with the face-to-face market of Mérida 2021, the virtual tourist market was held on September 23 and 24 Present.

 

The tianguis had the support of the federal tourist council and the participation of 32 states, 1,964 buyers, 1,185 companies, 45 countries and 217 exhibitors, according to data from the municipal government of San Miguel de Allende.

 

The purpose of the platform was to reinvent the way in which Mexican products and destinations are offered, the platform had a virtual lobby where buyers can navigate and explore the different offers, in addition to seminars, exhibitions of different companies.

 

The platform had “Booths” that emulate stands of the establishments where you can find descriptions, documents, photos and videos, in addition, a private chat room is incorporated in which you can communicate with buyers.

 

The Sanmguelense company “Coyote Canyon Adventures” won the national recognition Diversification of the Mexican Tourist Product 2020 granted by the federal government, in the Romance Tourism category for the product Aventura Romántica Deluxe.

 

The package offers a night ride, lodging nights, restaurant reservations for dinner, traditional Mexican mariachi, balloon flights, a visit to a winery and a visit to hot springs, explained Rodrigo Landeros, founder of “Coyote Cayon Adventure.”
