Celaya, Gto. A pregnant woman died from complications generated by the Covid-19, in the municipality of Celaya, reported State Health Secretary Daniel Díaz Martínez.

 

In the state, 519 people have died from the disease and there are 8,405 confirmed cases.

 

“After 19 days of fighting against Covid-19, he, unfortunately, lost his life, which is very unfortunate because it would be the first case,” the official said in an interview with the state government television station.

 

The woman was 30 years old and died in a private hospital, but the baby’s life was saved, at 32 weeks of gestation, revealed the doctor, who clarified that the newborn is not infected with the virus.

 

“It was not at the Ministry of Health where she was treated, but we were very vigilant because it was a high-risk pregnancy and it had an evolution, it seemed that it had improved, but the weekend became complicated and she died,” she lamented.
