Train hits a tourism van

On Sunday, May 23, a tourist van was hit by the train at the railroad crossing of Calzada de la Estación in San Miguel de Allende, 17 people were injured.

 

Approximately at 8 p.m., the truck was hit in the front by the train, minutes later, elements of the Red Cross and Municipal Civic Protection department arrived at the place to attend to the injured.

 

Of the 17 injured, 6 were taken to a hospital for care; the remaining 11 did not sustained serious injuries, so paramedics treated them at the scene.

 

The tourist van is owned by the Guanajuato Company Panorámico Travels.
