Perfect Day of Mariana Alarcón, social psychologist and sex educator

Perfect Day of Mariana Alarcón, social psychologist and sex educator

The first thing I do when I wake up is take a bath and make my breakfast. It is almost routine for me to have two glasses of water as soon as I wake up, so I feel energized for the day. I make my breakfast to take to the office because I don’t get hungry very early. I make myself a coffee or my favorite smoothie which is strawberry matcha. I usually make a turkey and rye bread sandwich. While I prepare breakfast, I review my social networks or work proposals. The first thing I do when I arrive at work is to check on all pending items: emails, publications, petitions, posts, etc.

Currently during my free time, I read books on sexuality, now I’m reading about Tantra and sex. Watching series and exercising is something else I dedicate a little time to. On weekends I like to eat seafood at Muelle 13, my favorite is aguachile, and dishes from the cold kitchen. The Tupi used to be the place to have my drink, until I found out about Botanero on Hernandez Macías. For a meal, I really like Snackville and McCarthy’s because I love wings. I regularly give workshops on sexuality and it fulfills me to know that I can help girls between 13 and 15 years of age by answering their questions. Sometimes as many as 70 of these young girls assist. I also give psychotherapy sessions and advice to young people and adults, showing them how to lead a more pleasant and safe sex life. I am in charge of giving them information, mainly about self-love pleasure. I am hoping to open a women-only sex shop staffed by women.

I like to go out on the streets to take away taboos and fears of giving condoms. My goal in life is to be able to change people’s lives in a positive way and give them the best options to enjoy their sex life.
