A day with Ana Margarita Guerra Vázquez, founder of Patitas de Humanidad, San Miguel de Allende A.C.

A perfect day for me could be a Wednesday, since I find them a little more interesting because of my participation in the radio. My days start very early checking Facebook because there’s a lot of activity related to what is going on with animals: whether lost, found, or injured. You can also find complaints about them as well as information about their mistreatment.

But I also very much being a housewife and being able to prepare a light breakfast for myself and my husband. At around 11 a.m. I get ready to participate in the segment on local radio XESQ 103.3 fm. In this program I interact with Lucy Nuñez and she speaks about the care, training, and awareness of animals. Then I go home to check and organize my schedule and check appointments with other vets or clients, as I am also a professional canine massage therapist.

I like to go out to eat at Quinta Loreto. My favorite dish is chiles en nogada and I can find them there all year round. I also like to eat the molcajetes from Los Milagros. Another thing that I really enjoy in the mornings is going to a coffee shop to be alone and distract myself. One of my favorite places is Café Santa Ana. I am very proud to live in a city like San Miguel de Allende. I feel like I’m on vacation every day.
