Two New Hilton Beach Resorts
The announcement of these two Hilton properties in Mexico comes on the heels of other recent all-inclusive development news: the May 2021 opening of The Yucatan Resort Playa Del Carmen, Tapestry Collection by Hilton and November 2021 opening of Hilton Cancun, An All-Inclusive Resort located on 100 acres of Mayan coastline with a pool complex, 12 all-inclusive culinary experiences and 715 guestrooms.

Atlas Ocean Voyages Introduces Complimentary Medical Insurance
Boutique small-ship cruise line Atlas Ocean Voyages recently announced it will introduce complimentary medical insurance for all passengers on all voyages, covering unexpected travel, medical and legal coverage, along with emergency evacuation insurance.
The announcement comes at a time when health and safety protocols, including insurance, are top-of-mind for prospective cruisers.
Atlas Assurance is part of the company’s “All Inclusive, All the Way” program of complimentary inclusions. It is valid for all bookings and is a permanent program.
The new Atlas Assurance medical coverage will include emergency evacuation and return transportation, along with a variety of medical coverage such as prescription eyeglass replacement, hospital and physician referral, return of dependent children, and others.
Travel services include embassy and consular assistance; emergency travel arrangements, and coverage for worldwide legal assistance, if required.
The line’s first luxury expedition ship, “World Navigator,” entered service this past summer. The vessel is scheduled to offer itineraries to the Caribbean, South America and Antarctica during the Winter 2021-2022 cruise season.
The fledgling line expects to have a five-ship fleet by 2025 at the latest. Its second vessel, “World Traveller,” is set to debut on July 15, 2022.
Hurtigruten Adding Galapagos Sailings
Hurtigruten Expeditions will expand into the Galapagos in January, via a partnership with Ecuador-based Metropolitan Touring. Nine-day trips will include six days sailing on the 90-assenger “Santa Cruz II, “ a Metropolitan ship being upgraded by Hurtigruten. Itineraries will include two nights in Quito and a full-day visit to Cotopaxi National Park, home to the most active volcano in South America.
