Carlos Maier’s Claroscuro photography exhibit

The opening of the Claroscuro photography exhibit took place on Oct. 21, at Canal 16, bringing together the subjects of Carlos Maier’s photographs. Maier is a photographer of German and U.S. roots who settled in San Miguel five years ago.

Prior to the contingency, the project intended to promote gastronomy, but was amplified to include singers, writers, event organizers, designers, and others who in one way or another are linked to tourism and the cultural life of San Miguel. Claroscuro comprises 40 photographs that are still on view at Canal 16. The images are for sale, with 70 percent of the proceeds going to Amigos al Cien, a group that has brought food to the most vulnerable during the contingency.
