It is time to look in your cupboards and closets and find those books and that can make a child happy—candies and cookies are also a good option.
Amid the pandemic, more than 400 pantries are serving the community each week through Amigos Al Cien. Two weeks ago they teamed up with Corazones Unidos, a group of community based organizations aimed to help those most in need.
BASMA, Patronato Proniños, Vamos México, Amigos al Cien, the Red Cross and the local DIF are working to help those that have lost their jobs and are in need of provisions. Donations are welcome at the Fire Department—Paseo de los Conspiradores—Radio San Miguel, on Sollano 4; and the local DIF at the corner of San Antonio Abad and Insurgentes.
The Amigos organization began collecting toys, candy, and books for children last week to surprise them on Children’s Day, April, 30. In the midst of the pandemic, it is never too late to make a child happy!
Donations can also be made via Paypal.
