You are invited to the first fashion show sponsored by the San Miguel de Allende Rotary Club. The event will take place at La Casona Convention Center at Josefina Orozco 2, on Friday, March 20, at 6pm. Fashions will be provided by Sindashi.
Entrance fee is 500 peso donation that will be used toward the accomplishment of two community goals. The first goal is a fund to provide an endoscope for San Miguel’s General Hospital. The second goal is to fund an educational exchange program that sends San Miguel students to various locations around the world.
The red carpet event consists of a runway fashion show. The models are women who live in San Miguel and are involved in the community. Some of them are entrepreneurs, artists, mothers, and housewives—women we all know who are involved with the city on a day-to-day basis. The theme of the show is the spring equinox, which falls on the following day. In keeping with the idea of spring, there will be flowers, the burning of copal (tree resin burned as incense), music, and dancers.
A complimentary drink will be offered to toast all those businesses that have supported the event: Altura 7, Barbosa Jewelry, Fina Catrina, Flor Sombrero, Contantik, Villas Xichú, and Lucky Jaramillo.
