Grammy nominee and San Miguel de Allende resident Michael Hoppé performs live once per year to benefit local NGO the Children’s Art Foundation (CAF). This year his annual fundraising concert will take place Sunday, March 1, at the Teatro Ángela Peralta. Hoppé and his accomplished musicians will perform his acclaimed repertoire, favorites, and a new composition, “Peace and Reconciliation.”

“Peace and Reconciliation” was performed June 9 in Sedona, Arizona, as a world premiere, and in Hasselt, Belgium, as the European premiere. On March 1, the San Miguel performance will be the Mexican premiere and world release of the album.

All proceeds from the concert go to benefit the San Miguel based CAF, which sends local art teachers to instruct painting and story-writing skills to underprivileged children in the campo. All the funds are directed to the Foundation’s Literacy Through Art Program.

The Children’s Art Foundation is the proud partner of AMISTAD Canada and the San Miguel Community Foundation.

Concert tickets are available at the box office at Teatro Ángela Peralta and daily at Juan’s Café, Relox 37.

Further, the local arts community is supporting the Children’s Art Foundation on March 8 at 12pm by providing more than 50 original works of art for live auction at Rosewood San Miguel. Johnny Favourite will be the Emcee and auctioneer and will provide live entertainment.

Readers are invited to attend the concert and auction where 100 percent of funds raised support the year-round local children’s programs.
