A world-class festival comes to a World Heritage city

They’ve played in Carnegie Hall and the Sydney Opera House, Prague and Tokyo, Ravinia, Ravello and Tangelwood and in towns large and small across the US and on the shore of the Great Salt Lake in Utah. 

Their combined repertoire runs from Mozart, Brahms and Mendelssohn to The Doors’ “Riders on the Storm” to W.C. Handy, Copland and Gershwin to Kenji Bunch and Pat Matheny.

They are the 42 international musicians performing at the 30th summer chamber music festival that runs until August 17. The Ying String Quartet, making its 12th appearance, officially opens the festival tonight in Teatro Ángela Peralta.
